Coffee with Commissioners Series

The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and the Council of Foundations is hosting this series to introduce the public to the new administration's leaders by featuring a different state agency each month. Commissioner Lindsey from the Department of Human Rights will present on February 16 for about 30 – 45 minutes, followed by a discussion with the audience. Grand Rapids Human Rights Commission invites Commissioner Lindsey to speak on the amendment to ban gay marriage

Black History Month - St. Paul/Ramsey County Speaker Series

Various dates in February

The City of Saint Paul and Ramsey County are hosting a number of events in February in recognition of Black History Month. The theme, "There's another horizon out there," is from a quote by photographer/filmmaker Gordon Parks. Most events will be held at St. Paul City Hall, with additional events at St. Paul public libraries. A complete shedule is available here (PDF 90kb).

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, MN Chapter (CAIRMN) is hosting a diversity training for employers. This training will cover: employer obligations under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Minnesota Human Rights Act; Muslim customs and practices; how to enhance inclusion and diversity initiatives in your organization.
