The 2012 Black History theme is "Black Women in American Culture and History"
The theme honors African American women and their many contributions in the shaping of our society and our nation. The theme is chosen by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (founders of Black History Month).

Black History Month - St. Paul/Ramsey County Speaker Series
The City of Saint Paul and Ramsey County are hosting a number of events in February in recognition of Black History Month. The theme, "There's another horizon out there," is from a quote by photographer/filmmaker Gordon Parks. Most events will be held at St. Paul City Hall, with additonal events at St. Paul public libraries. A complete shedule is available here (PDF 90kb).
